STEP 1: Notify Your Current Broker
Inform your current broker of your intention to transfer your license. This is a professional courtesy and a required step, as your current broker must release your license with the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC)
STEP 2: Complete the Required Form (only for agents with a real estate license)
Fill out the appropriate GREC form to transfer your license:

STEP 3: Form Signature
Once you’ve completed the form, send it to your previous broker for signature if they haven’t yet released your license. If your license has already been released, only our broker needs to sign the form.

STEP 4: Email Form to GREC
Once the form has been signed by the broker (or brokers if applicable), email it to grecmail@grec.state.ga.us
STEP 5: Confirmation
After all forms are submitted and processed, GREC will update your license status and notify both your former and new brokers of the change.
You will receive confirmation from your new brokerage and GREC once the transfer is complete
