This policy outlines the steps required to properly process your own lease and ensure timely commission payment.
Following these guidelines helps you avoid errors that could lead to a property denying commission.
Important: This policy is exclusively for your own move-in leases - not extendable to family members or other relatives.
Steps Submit Own Lease
To successfully close your own lease and receive commission:
- Request another Relive agent to send a guest card listing you as the client.
- Enter that agent’s name as your referral source on the lease application.
- Have the same agent create the invoice in Relive’s CRM.
- Ensure they include a note stating:
“This is [Your Name]’s own lease. Please update it in their CRM.”
- Finance will process the invoice by submitting it to the property, assigning it to you, and adjusting the commission to 100%.
Payment Process
If the property pays via check, you receive 100% of the invoice amount.
If the property pays via ACH, a processing fee of up to 2% (charged by third-party entities) will be deducted from the total invoice amount.
