Florida - Locating License Transfer
This article explains how to transfer your real estate license to Relive in Florida. In Florida, the process is primarily handled through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) online portal.
STEP 1: Notify Your Current Broker
Inform your current employing broker of your intention to transfer your license to Relive. It is professional courtesy to provide advance notice and discuss any outstanding transactions or obligations.
STEP 2: Access the DBPR Online Portal
Log in to your account on the DBPR Online Services portal. If you do not have an account, you must create one and link your license to it.
STEP 3: Initiate the License Transfer
In Florida, there are two ways to complete the transfer. The fastest and preferred method is for Relive's broker to add you through their online account.
Option A: Broker-Initiated (Recommended)
- Ensure your license is in an "Active" or "Inactive" status (not expired).
- Email your license transfer request to support@reliverealty.com
- Relive’s broker will log into their DBPR account and add you as a sales associate.
- The transfer is usually reflected instantly once the broker completes the request.
Option B: Agent-Initiated (Paper Form)If you prefer to initiate the request yourself or if the online system is unavailable, you can use the DBPR RE 11 form.
- Download and complete the DBPR RE 11 - Change of Status for Sales Associates and Broker Sales Associates form.
- Relive's Florida License Number: CQ1074316
- Have the form signed by Relive's qualifying broker.
- Mail the completed form to:
- Department of Business and Professional Regulation
- 2601 Blair Stone Road
- Tallahassee, FL 32399-0783
STEP 4: Confirm Transfer Completion
Once the transfer is processed (instantly via Option A, or several days via Option B), you can verify your new status on the DBPR website.
