FAQs: Earnings & Lead Generation
This FAQ answers the most common questions about how you earn money at Relive and how you generate leads.
Do you provide leads, or do we find our own clients?
Relive does not provide company leads. As an apartment locator at Relive, you are responsible for generating your own leads, primarily through social media and advertising channels like Facebook Marketplace.
To support your lead generation efforts, Relive provides a Property Content Folder with raw apartment footage that you can edit and post across your social channels in your own style. We also provide comprehensive training on lead generation strategies through our Training Academy, covering social media marketing and advertising best practices.
On average, agents go from completing onboarding to closing their first deal within 30 days.
Is it basically post on social media, show apartments, and get a commission off the lease?
Apartment locating is one of the most straightforward ways to earn commissions in real estate. Unlike residential transactions — which involve contracts, negotiations, financing contingencies, and lengthy closing timelines — apartment locating requires no paperwork on the agent's side. You earn a commission simply by referring a client to an apartment property, getting their lease application approved alongside the property's leasing team, and confirming their move-in.
There are a few important things to keep in mind. First, not all properties pay commissions to locators, so always verify with the property before sending a client. Second, in markets like Denver and Atlanta, it is especially important to confirm whether the property has an active partnership with Relive, as this directly impacts whether your commission is guaranteed. You can check Relive's Property Search tool to see all properties with an active Relive partnership.
Is it possible to generate income within the first few weeks?
Yes, it is possible — some agents have closed their first apartment locating deal within their first two weeks. However, this depends entirely on your lead generation consistency and your ability to convert leads into signed lease applications.
What we can say is that on average, agents close their first deal within 30 days of completing onboarding. Agents who follow the Training Academy curriculum consistently and apply the lead generation strategies from day one give themselves the best chance of earning income quickly.
Apartment locating has a significantly shorter sales cycle than traditional residential real estate, which is what makes early income realistic for motivated agents.
