FAQs: Compensation, Fees, and Referrals
This FAQ explains how you get paid at Relive, what fees apply, and how referrals work.
Is this position hourly or commission-based?
Apartment locating is 100% commission-based. You earn a commission by referring clients to apartment properties that pay locators.
Your commission is guaranteed once your client's lease application is approved and they move in.
Once the client moves in, Relive's collections team takes over the invoice process — you don't need to chase payments.

My license is inactive and I just need a brokerage to hang it under. What are the fees?
Relive does not charge any monthly fees — there are no desk fees or software fees. The only fees that apply are transaction fees, and those only kick in after you have hit your $15,000 quarterly GCI cap and are earning 100% commission.
Before hitting your cap, you work under a simple 70/30 commission split with no additional fees.
This makes Relive a cost-effective option whether you are actively closing deals or simply looking for a brokerage to keep your license active.

Can I refer clients to another locator and earn a percentage of the commission?
Yes. You can refer both apartment locating leads and residential leads to another agent and earn a referral fee as a percentage of the commission on that deal.
You are free to refer internally to a Relive agent or externally to an agent at another brokerage — the choice is yours.
Referral income is treated as standard commission income under Relive's compensation model, meaning it counts toward your quarterly GCI cap and follows the same 70/30 split pre-cap, and 100% post-cap with no referral transaction fee.
